Our process for coming up with a new flavor at Just a Pinch isn’t scientific but it works great for us. Usually it starts with a suggestion from our customers. Right after we introduced original Herbal blend we got a bunch of asks for some “heat” and before long “Zesty”” was born. Next we do some research then quickly move to “test kitchen mode” where we experiment with ingredients and ratios. When we have a few good options, we enlist family and friends as tasters. If you’re ever in our neighborhood on a taste test day you’ll likely see kids running back and forth from the kitchen delivering tiny tastings and collecting opinions and recommended adjustments like, “Sample #4 needs more pepper!” When we’re satisfied with our recipe, we get the required approval and get it out there for sale. Right now in the kitchen we’re working on a new Lemon Pepper flavor. What are your ideas for other new flavors? We’d love to hear from you! For a Better Cocktail, Reach for a Different Shaker
Salt, arguably the most important ingredient in the kitchen, is just as critical at the bar. Sharing this article from the 2/9/20 New York Times. Our Simply Sea Salt is perfect! https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/07/dining/drinks/salt-cocktails-recipe.html?referringSource=articleShare
